Anyone can perform at Coast Acoustics. Newcomers and walk-ups are welcome. If there is a high demand, members and invited guests get preference.

Performers generally provide support on a voluntary basis. Performers receive local exposure and publicity via various newspapers, magazines and websites. Performers may promote their gigs, CDs and other merchandise at the event. In some circumstances, payment for headline acts and/or workshop facilitators may be negotiated subject to Committee approval. In such circumstances, performers would be required to contribute to promotional activities.

Any form of acoustic style music is acceptable (Folk, Bluegrass, Blues, Roots, Traditional, etc).
Instruments must be acoustic. Some percussion is okay but we are not set up for drum kits or electric guitars. Electric bass guitars are okay.

Performers must have their own insurance. All care is taken to ensure the safety and comfort of players, audience and equipment, but performers are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate insurance cover as a performer. You are responsible for looking after your own instruments, equipment and anything else you bring along to Coast Acoustics. Please keep it in a safe place.

Performers must provide your own instruments. Coast Acoustics will provide the venue, PA, vocal and instrument mics, leads etc. Performers must advise advance of any special requirements.
