Penny Davies and Roger Ilott
Acoustic Australian music known around the country.
PENNY DAVIES & ROGER ILOTT are known for many songs featured on ABC radio over the last 20 years or so. "Sing us the one about the rain, the one about the cane, or the one about the train!" is the cry! Their versions of Bill Scott's "Hey Rain" and "Where The Cane Fires Burn" will probably ring the most bells and their own "Riding On The Fruit Train" is another favourite.. They have been performing together since 1976, and have made 20 albums in that time. After all these years of performing together, they still have the same intense love for what they do - and that's to communicate warmly, deeply and humourously through their music, as they sing their own songs and the songs by other Australian writers, that they've made their own.
